Pattern is struck on both sides with shell on back of tines; square shoulders at base of handle, feathered script mono W on reverse of handle; 8-1/4" in length. Each fork weighs 3+ oz. Troy - total is over 18-1/2 oz. Light tinewear -- otherwise condition is excellent. The W mark shown here is attributed to Wood by John R. McGrew in his book, Manufacturer's Marks on American Coin Silver. Soon after these forks were made Wood became a partner in the famed firm of Wood & Hughes.
