Interesting double-swell fiddle handles, unusual for midwest and southern silver; pointed shoulders, feathered script mono I S B on front; 5-7/8" in length. Excellent condition. Boultinghouse lists William and Archibald Cooper as forming their partnership in 1836 in Cincinnati, probably moving across the river to Louisville the next year. The mark on these spoons is terrific (see pic), not shown in Boultinghouse.

Double-swell fiddle handle with large flared shoulders, marked by N. J. Gilman of Portland, Maine, c1850-60. Presentation on front of handle: Mr. & Mrs. John Brackett / to / Mr. & Mrs. H. M. Brackett. The ladle is 13-1/2" long with a 4-1/4" oval bowl and weighs an imposing 8-1/2" Troy oz. Overall condition is excellent.

Downturned fiddle handle, no shoulders, drop, shaded old English S on front; 5-1/2" long. Condition is excellent. Franciscus worked in Baltimore from 1810-18, and from 1819-40 in Lancaster, PA. These spoons are fully marked with a shield, the dominical letter A (which denotes 1815 as the year it was made), and the head of liberty. It is rare to find Franciscus silver so clearly associated with Baltimore, the city of his birth.

16" tall, 13" across base, 74 Troy oz. We understand that this piece was designed at the Tiffany studio in the 1960s and that it was fabricated in Italy. What better home base for a campanile! As shown, the body consists of 8 S-scroll vertical straps on 8 ball feet. Two horizontal straps are connected to the vertical strip with silver rivets. Atop the body is an onion-shaped dome, formed by another 8 S-scroll straps...

Oval-end handles, c1795 -- brightcutting and roulette work entire length of handle, block mono in I C in cartouche on front; 9" in length. Birds are a tad worn but spoons are in great shape, brightcutting still crisp, marks (M&R) as clear as the day they were struck.
