This is a beautifully raised bird, wings akimbo, ready to take flight. Spoon was never engraved, probably never used at table. It is 5-5/8" long, and in minty condition, no wear at all.

Teaspoon with oval-end fiddle handle, flared shoulders, feathered script mono E B on front; 5-3/8" long, excellent condition. Peabody worked first in Fayetteville, NC, beginning in 1823, and by 1836, according to B. Caldwell's "Silversmiths in Tennessee," he was working in Nashville. The shape of Peabody's fiddle is interesting -- perhaps not unique, but well formed, and an interesting shape to hold and contemplate.

18th century oval-end handle, feathered script mono F on front; 7-1/8" in length. Condition is excellent throughout. The mark is exceptional in its crispness, as is the distinctive eagle of Capt. William Richardson, which came with the business when Cowan took it over in 1808.

Downturned fiddle handle with ornamental cut-outs at base of fiddle; pointed shoulders which extend over rim of bowl to create a decorative (and probably unique) design (see pic); cut-cornered (coffin-end) drop on bowl back; prominent rib on back of handle, feathered script mono B on front. Length is 12-1/2". Round bowl is 3-3/8" in diameter. Mark is T. CAIN. with Masonic pseudos. Condition is near-mint.

16" tall, 13" across base, 74 Troy oz. We understand that this piece was designed at the Tiffany studio in the 1960s and that it was fabricated in Italy. What better home base for a campanile! As shown, the body consists of 8 S-scroll vertical straps on 8 ball feet. Two horizontal straps are connected to the vertical strip with silver rivets. Atop the body is an onion-shaped dome, formed by another 8 S-scroll straps...
