Simes, of course, worked in Portsmouth, NH. He made this spoon in 1800 or thereabouts. In appearance, it is fantastic. It has a long tapering handle terminating in an elongated slender bowl, with an unusual double-roulette drop on the bowl back. The mono is a feathered script L C F. Length is 8-3/8". Condition is mint.

This is a great piece of late coin silver. The maker -- Harwood Bro's -- can be found in Fredyma, with the working dates of 1875-1910. Notably, it is marked PURE COIN. This piece is 7-1/8" long and weighs 40 grams. The mono on the front is EL, on the back in script are the initials GAR. Condition is minty.
