Enameled scene of Dutch windmills at handle end. Length is 4-1/4", widest width 1-3/4". Condition is excellent. Marked STERLING with lion, anchor, G, and the "model number" 848. Estimated production date is 1880.

Simes, of course, worked in Portsmouth, NH. He made this spoon in 1800 or thereabouts. In appearance, it is fantastic. It has a long tapering handle terminating in an elongated slender bowl, with an unusual double-roulette drop on the bowl back. The mono is a feathered script L C F. Length is 8-3/8". Condition is mint.

Right-angled scalloped blade, double-swell fiddle handle, pointed shoulders, feathered script engraving M + M to M + H on front; 7" long. Nice piece.

Forward-tipt fiddle handle, large flared shoulders, pierced slice with scalloped edge, never engraved; 12-1/2" in length, mint condition.

Forward-tipt pattern, huge flared shoulders; shaped pierced blade with scalloped edge. This slice was never engraved. It is 12-1/2" long and weights 5 T oz. Condition is near-mint.

Pierced and scalloped triangular blade engraved with flowers, leaves and scrolls; gothic mono H D on front of handle; 9-3/4" long.

Made by Ball, Tompkins & Black, NYC, c1845 -- 12 forks, each 7" long, and 11 knives with silver blades, 8-1/4" long. Mono on all 23 pieces is M D (shown). Only the knives are marked with the makers' names. Some of the hollow handles have light dings, but, by and large, overall condition is excellent.

Gothic pattern, c1862 -- shaped blade with a scalloped upper edge. Blade is engraved with scrolls and foliage. The piece has never been engraved. It is 12-1/8" in length and is in near-mint condition.

This is a great piece of late coin silver. The maker -- Harwood Bro's -- can be found in Fredyma, with the working dates of 1875-1910. Notably, it is marked PURE COIN. This piece is 7-1/8" long and weighs 40 grams. The mono on the front is EL, on the back in script are the initials GAR. Condition is minty.
