Forward-tipt fiddle handle, flared shoulders, feathered script mono S. P. Hifsinger on front; 8-3/4" long; light tipwear, bowl bumps. It seems that Baird did not work in North Carolina, as suggested by Cutten; he has been re-situated in Ohio by John McGrew in "Manufacturers' Marks on American Coin Silver."

Outstanding length of 9-5/8" -- a beautiful feathered script mono M in a perfect brightcut circle on front of the handle. Oval-end handle and drop on bowl back. Condition is excellent throughout - near mint.

Pinched-waist fiddle handle, pointed shoulders, never engraved, 3-5/8" long. Ladle is marked COIN on back of handle. Style suggests midwest or midsouth (KY, TN) origin. Condition is excellent.

Straight tapered arms extending from fiddle bend and terminating in square shoulders and acorn nips. (Note rare roulette drop on nips in pic 2.) Mono on bend is M H in feathered script. Length is 6-1/8"; condition is excellent.

Pictured on front, from top of handle to bowl -- the White House, the American eagle, the presidential seal, the city name, and, in the bowl, the legislative buildings. On the reverse is a representation of the Washington Monument above a foliate spray. Length is 5-3/4". Condition is fine throughout.

`Retailed by E. Mead & Co., St. Louis -- feathered script mono W F L on scimitar-like blade; 6-3/4" in length. Excellent condition. Josephine was Mary Todd Lincoln's pattern. Other than the last initial of the mono, there is absolutely no indication that these pieces were part of her set.

Classic coffin-end spoons from Alexandria, VA - handle tapering straight down from cut- cornered end terminating in bowl with drop on its reverse; feathered script mono B on front; 7-1/2" in length. Very minor tipwear, otherwise condition is excellent.
