Downturned fiddle handle, almost coffin-end in shape, square shoulders, ornate feathered script L R on front; 8-1/4" long. Bit of tipwear and a few shallow bowl bumps, but it has a well struck mark and is in overall good condition. Abel's work, along with Enoch's, is the least commonly found among the Moulton boys (Lydia's work being even rarer, of course). We have a bunch of Moulton and other Newburyport silver, dating forward from the mid-18thC. Inquiries are welcomed, to be sure.
