Rattail coffee spoon by Edward Lang, Salem, c1770

Deep front rib on handle front, thin rattail extending half-way down center of bowl back; block mono S B on reverse together with owner's mono in script: Susanna Bernon. The spoon is 4-5/8" in length. It is in excellent condition. Susanna Bernon was born in 1716 in Narragansett, RI, the daughter of a prominent Hugenot family. She died in 1802.
