FYI: Wilton Armetale is a new material based on an aluminum alloy, developed by the Wilton Brass Company in 1963. The material has the look of pewter and silver, and is capable of being cast into different forms with intricate embossed designs.

This antique accessory box is very old. I suppose it was used for hankys, jewelry, or one's valuables for that era - pre-1940. On the front is a picture of Godey's Americanized Paris Fashions 1847 - in color - victorian ladies and it has a mirror on the inside cover.
Inside is painted antique gold. The pic on front has some marks - could be cleaned by professional. Ornate antique gold design. In good condition. Felt on bottom is worn.
