1940's era Japanese Plastic/Melmac five laquer plates - Lacquer is a coating material that brings a very hard and durable finish plus certain flexibility, its very difficult to destroyt;
just like plastic. Vivid colors of dark rust/brown, gold, orange, and black. Backs are black. New - have been in attic since the 1940's in the original box/packing. Box is signed, not plates.
Measures: 6" diameter
Just too cute this teapot with cup. Vivid colors of orange, royal blue, light blue, dark/light greens, yellows, and white. Teapot sits on top of cup. Logo on bottom reads "Teapot made n China"
Cup/teapot holds 12 oz.
Condition: Very good, like new
Measures: 7"h (to top of knob) and 17 1/4" diameter including around handles.
This Edwin M. Knowles winter scene platter dates to 1945. Identifying Logo on bottom.

Condition: Very good vintage - 2 small chips underneath - cannot be seen from front. Other minor markings are from factory.

An Old Tettau (Bavaria) Blue, one of the oldest Royal Bayreuth patterns, used for dinnerware and related ceramics, is still produced. Older pieces carry the hallmark lion mark (1887-1902).
Very rare and hard to find this and the other plate I have listed.
