Koussevitzky Conducts Prokofiev Symphony No 1 in D major "Classical" Symphony, in D, Op 25, Boston Symphony Orchestra. Recorded in Studio 22-Apr-1929. As it happens, this was also the first major work Prokofiev composed without the intermediary of the piano keyboard. koussevitzky was appointed conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra in 1924.
