Red Rhinestone Bogoff Necklace & Earrings

Just in time for Valentine's Day is this stunning, signed ruby red Bogoff demi parure. Bogoff, in business through the 50's, was obviously ahead of his time with the use of kidney ear wires on this set. Although pierced earrings were commonly used until the 1920's, they took a back seat through two generations of clip lovers and re-emerged in the 60's. As we can see no evidence of an alteration, these were either made exclusively for a regular customer or Bogoff had the insight to pioneer a fashion trend years before its arrival. The plating is like new, the paves all clear and bright and the ruby red rhinestones virtually flawless. We question whether this 15" length necklace and 1 1/2" earrings were ever worn as it is such pristine condition.
