La Roco Amber & AB Japanned Rhinestone Demi Parure

This rarely found company's creations are tradionally made with the finest swarovski crystal rhinestones and this set is no different. What makes this one of the most rare La Roco (also referred to as LaRoco at times) demi parures found is the japanned backing on the brooch and earrings. Dramatic aurora borealis marquise faceted rhinestones that reflect blue, green and grey are equally used with solid amber stones. A similar brooch is found in Marcia Brown's "Signed Beauties... Volume II" on Pg 89 with far simpler earrings and not a japanned backing. For the collector, this large 2 1/2" brooch with equally large 1 1/2" earrings is a must have.
