This pot metal brooch with metallic enamel and rhinestones is reminiscent of the patriotic Marcel Boucher MB walking sailors which have faux pearl heads and caps as well. As Boucher did not market any signed pieces in pot metal, it is doubtful any brooches without rhodium plating can be presumed to be by Boucher. The brooch offered here has a gorgeous metallic enamel, straight pin and glittering paves and was a quality piece in its day. The only flaws today are the heads that have some loss to the faux pearl nacre as shown in our close-up photograph. Although many might claim it to be an "unsigned Boucher", it is not. Who knows, perhaps this 2 3/8" x 1 7/8" 1940'ish pin inspired Boucher to better it.
