This stunning Adolph Katz CoroCraft Sterling Duette from 1947 is signed everywhere. Both of the spring clips are imprinted Sterling, the duette mechanism has the Coro patent number, "Coro duette" and Sterling all imprinted on it and one duette carries the Coro (script) Craft (block) Sterling with the Pegasus rectangle, as shown in our photos. A copy of the patent (#148,246) will be forwarded with your purchase. With the exception of two paves that have slightly darkened and some slight yellowing, this duette is still packed with glitter. The large chatons are almost like-new with only one having a yellowish tinge. The emerald cut rhinestones are gorgeous. The only major issue to point out is one prong on the last emerald cut stone has broken off but the rhinestone is securely in place with no movement whatsoever. Each clip measures approximately 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and together, the duette is 2" x 1 1/2". Oddly, this duette was made in both Sterling and non-Sterling as we were able to locate the non-Sterling duette at two other websites. A book piece found in Marcia Brown's Coro Jewelry book, it's offered by Sophistication Station in its rarest form.
