Sherman Purple & Lilac Brooch Demi Parure

Rare trapezoid rhinestones are the focal point of this stunning Sherman brooch and earrings set. Pretty lilac teardrop Swarovski crystals form the perimeter of this 1 5/8" pin. The center is comprised of an outer layer of clear chatons, another layer on top of that and a purple chaton at the top. The screw back earrings are 1" x 1/2" and have two trapezoid amethyst rhinestones along with a two tiered top. The brooch is signed Sherman on an oval cartouche and the earrings are also signed. The plating is excellent on all pieces. The brooch has one flaw insomuchas one of the outer teardrops has sustained a partial chip to the tip. It is not a complete chip but more like a slice is off it from the point to the first prongs. The bottom half of the stone is still complete so it is only with a loupe than you can tell there is damage to the one stone. One earring is perfect but the other has a chip to each of the two tiny chatons just below the trapezoids. Again, this is only noticeable with a loupe. Purple has always been associated with royalty and you'll definitely feel like royalty wearing this rare set.
