This train engine measures 3 1/4" long and 3" high. 1986 is on both sides of the coal storage area. The bell on the top is ready for a ribbon color of your choice. I do not have the box. This clear 7" high open compote was made by Bryce Brothers circa 1889, also Richards & Hartley and U.S. Glass number 260 in 1891. With a short stem and 7 1/2" across it is a very nice piece. I could find no chips, cracks, nips, bites, repairs or damages. There are the expected straw marks from a piece of this time period. Nice heavy glass. Duncan Glass made this compote circa 1878 - 1886 calling it Frosted Ribbon or their Number 150. U.S.Glass maade this item after 1891. Standing 7" high it really shows nice. I have found no chips, cracks, nips, bites, repairs or other damages. I does have a rim just inside the upper area indicating it might have had a lid at one time.
