Mother of Pearl Lacquered Japan Dresser Box

This very nice mother-of-pearl box is vintage and measures 4 1/2" square and 2 1/4" high. The lacquer is in great condtion with only light wear marks on the bottom. No chips, cracks or other damage. The Mother-of-Pearl has some minor damage to the peacock and flower. Other than that, it is a beautifully done piece for dresser or living room. Under a bright light the lacquer has a beautiful dark ruby red look and under a more subdued light it looks black. Age unknown but has the design of the 1930's to pre WWII.
