This sweet little picture frame is bordered on four sides by enamel with pink roses. It is a 4 X 3 frame and has two original stickers. One sticker is the Sanger Bros. store label and the other is the one that states it is trimmed in 24 Karat gold. It has a maroon red velvet backing and a bowtie on top. This wonderful piece of framed art is of what seems to be a lone clipper ship against the ruddy night sky just after sunset, and is set in a fabulous textured antique gold leaf frame. This work of art is an original colored pencil and is in very good condition for its age. There are a few minor dings to the right hand side of the frame and a small blemish on the upper right side, and the original paper backing is a bit worn( see enlargements). This fabulous still life is from France, and has a french caption at the bottom that reads: "A Paris Chez Vilquin Md. Estampes Grande Cour Du Palais Du Tribunat No. 20". This wonderful print has a lovely subject of what appears to be winter fruit. It is framed in a very nice dark wood frame that has a cherry glow to it. This is a very nice picture of a wolf calculating his next move for dinner, as he stands on a hill and gazes down upon an unsuspecting homestead. Done in mostly greens and blues, it gives a chill wintery affect. It measures 18 in. wide and 14 1/4 in. high, and is from the 1920's. The frame is all original, there is a small ding to the top of the frame. The print itself is in great condition and there is a heavy chain in the back for hanging.
