Vintage red and Gold Italian glove box

The designs on this oblong box made in Italy reminds me of a court jester. This box is hinged and long enough to hold alot of things measuring at 13 3/4 in long, but I think it's original purpose was for holding gloves. The top has an alternating diamond pattern. This box is in great condition. Enjoy!
