This is a wonderful Romantic Staffordshire brown transferware plate in the pattern Marmora, made in the 1830's. It features a waterside view with boats in the distance and two foreign men in the foreground. There is one old chip to the backside of this plate which is reflected in the price. The scenery on this plate would make it a perfect addition to any scenic china collection. This plate is from the late 1800's and is marked on the back with the makers initials W.R. & Co. for William Ridgeway & Co., and the pattern name along with an anchor and flower urn. ~Enjoy!
