WOW! This Victorian teapot has the most unusual lid I have ever seen. This piece was bought in England, which is its place of origin, it is unmarked. It features a squat body with transfer painted Morning Glories. It has gold trim and some of it has wear due to age and handling, the lid handle has a small manufacturing blemish on it(see enlargement 3). BUT, the most special feature is it's slip lid. The lid slides into place to prevent leakage and keeps the lid in place while you are serving tea. The lid also has a steam hole to let some steam escape. This truly is a wonderful find and has no breaks, cracks or chips. ~Enjoy!
