Vintage Gold Ormolu Trinket / Powder Box with Medallion

Talk about a lovely little piece for the vanity. This little box is gold ormolu with a bold gold medallion on the top under a glass lid, depicting a courtship scene. Romance drips from every turn as you open it up to the creamy velvet base on the inside. It measures 4 in. in diameter, and 3 in. tall. This box has small issues, the velvet in the inside is a little faded, and there are little tarnish areas around the circular box, that may be removed(see enlargements). I don't like to disturb the patina on old pieces like this, so I left it as found. I reflected these damages in the pricing of the item. It is still a very lovely piece to store jewelry, lace, small perfume bottles or any other little vanity items. ~Enjoy!
