Lovely Old Gorham Hotel Silver Soup Tureen

This absolutely fabulous little nickel plate soup tureen is made by Gorham Silver. It is fully marked on the bottom. In procession there is GM Co.(Gorham Manufacturing Co.), a box with an anchor inside, and E F under it, 2096 with 7 then TF under that. On the lower right there is a horseshoe (see enlargement 1). Unfortunately there is no hotel name, hence the price. There is however a monogram on the lid which could be the initials of the hotel (see enlargement 2). This piece is very clean inside and could be used time and again. It measures 9 in. long, 5 in. wide, and 4 in. tall. It is in great condition with only one or two minor dings. Compare to an unmarked tureen by Reed and Barton in the same condition at Paris Hotel Boutique for $225.00. ~Enjoy!
