Take this chance to own great English china from the 1970s, produced by the grandsons of Alfred Meakin and associated with Wedgwood. This is a classically beautiful pattern and very durable. These are used dishes with a lot of life left. Most pieces show some degree of use marks, but the speckled substrate makes them difficult to discern. Here is a great start on a set of 8.25-inch salad/lunch plates in the Country Fair pattern with the green edge (Colonial shape). These are known as the Avon Salad Set. These plates were made by Southern Potteries for Avon to use as sales incentives. All five plates are in mint condition. The color is brilliant and there are no chips, cracks, blemishes of any kind that I can see. Factory fresh. They would look amazing hanging if you don't want to damage them with utensil marks.
