The Kanawha Glass Company , was a short lived glass company that operated from 1955 - 1987 in Dunbar, West Virginia.
The Kanawha glass company produced both kitchen and around the home decorative products. It is often difficult to identify Kanawha glass because they used labels on their products rather than impressing a mark into the glass. Additionally, their design philosophy primarily followed the marketing rules of the day. Thus, you will see a variety of crackle glass, milk glass, slag, amberina and hobnail patterns that can easily be mistaken for Fenton or Blenko lines.
