CONDITION: Excellent, No Damage. No Discoloration The base has lots of shelf ware as it should for it’s age.
SPECIAL NOTES: Krys-Tol embosses mark and the bottom starburst pattern incised. NO sign of use, No utensil marks that I can see. Excellent Condition, No chips, cracks or discoloration. Very Nice Collectible and Very Usable. KRYS-TOL was an unregistered (Patent Office) trademark name
coined by Benjamin W. Jacobs and used by the Ohio Flint Glass
Co. in 1906-8; by the Jefferson Glass Co., 1908 to about 1918, +
by the Central Glass Works, beginning 1919. (HOBBIES Magazine,
Oct. 1967) - reference "400 Trademarks on Glass" by Arthur Peterson, Ph.D..
Another reference shows Ohio Flint as part of the National Glass Co.
in 1900 + going bankrupt in 1907. Central Glass became Factory "O" of the
U.S. Glass Co. in 1891. Jefferson Glass closed in the early thirties; in
1907 sold their original Steubenville, OH plant to Imperial Glass.
