This is a beautiful hand painted, multi-colored Pfaltzgraff Pie Bird. At first glance, this brightly colored bird appears to be only a decorative piece. But, if you love to bake pies, this little guy does more than look pretty because he eliminates the messy spills associated with pie baking.

How? When you begin to prepare your delicious pie, simply center the bird on the bottom of the pie crust and add your filling all around him. Put holes in the pastry crust top, and press crust in around the bird. Then bake your pie as instructed.
