ERPHILA was the acronym for Ebeling & Reuss, Philadelphia, a Philadelphia based importer. E&R was not a manufacturer, but imported goods -- primarily ceramics -- from Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia, occasionally commissioning items to their own specifications. They operated from around 1886 to the late 1990's.
