This is a lovely vintage hand painted Japan rooster and hen salt and pepper shaker set that sits in a matching basket. It is marked with the number 7855 and a blue Japan sticker on the bottom on all three pieces. They have cold painted red combs and waddles. The over-all size is 3.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches across. The set is in good condition, with some age glaze crazing on all pieces. This is probable circa 1940s to 1950s.

Here we have 2 adorable little footed clear glass egg cup with chickens on them made in France. They are clear on the top and textured on the base. They measure 2 and 1/8 inches tall and 1.75 inches across the rim. They are in good condition, with just a rough spot on the point of one beak on the hen.

This is a magnificent matching set of vintage chicken figurines. Both are fancy chickens, called either silkies, or cochins, which means they have feathers on their feet. This matching rooster and chicken are beautifully painted with both airbrushing and handpainting. They are both marked UG Made in Japan in black. This is a really wonderful blue milk or slag glass chicken on a nest. This is a very big piece measuring 7.25 inches high and the bottom piece is 7.75 by 6.5 inches across. It is in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks and no visible signs of wear. This is a very large, thick, heavy piece.
