This is a gorgeous mola textile from the San Blas Islands of Panama. It is very well done, very fine evenly spaced hand stitching. It has wonderful birds, fish and snake motifs in 9 bright vibrant colors. The back layer is black, the top layer is red and in-between are appliques of purple, blue, yellow, green, pink, gold, orange, and black. This elegant antique purse is hand crocheted and stitched over a light aqua lining. The strap is crocheted as well and then braided. It has what looks like a amber colored bakelite or celluloid frame with little flowers throughout. The crochet looks like it was make for this frame as it is not just a round doily but has a special shaping to fit up into the frame.

24 hand embroidered, hand drawn bible quilt blocks depicting bible scenes.
Each piece measures approx 11 by 9 inches. All of the pictures are finished being stitched but only 11 have the titles stitched, they have the hand printed titles read to be stitched. Most are in very good condition, but a few have a couple of darker dots, but just give it personality. They are very old pieces from an auction.
