This is a lovely set of heavy brass clam or abalone seashell bookends. They would make a great desk accessory or even nice to put towels between in the bathroom. This is a wonderful matching pair of vintage bookends that are made out of black clay, glazed very glossy, and then cold painted. Very little of the paint is missing which is unusual for pieces this old. They measure 6.25 inches tall and 4.5 inches long and 2.25 inches wide. These are wonderful old pieces of hand painted pottery. The only damage is the back of one of the antlers has a surface chip, but you can't see it from the front...
