Vintage Black Patent Leather Baby or Doll Button Shoes

This is a really cute pair of old vintage black patent leather infant / baby or doll shoes with mother of pearl buttons. They have these numbers inside 0 9995. These are auction pieces and came with a history that reads: "Black Patent Low Cuts with buttons. These belong to: Shelvie Sparks Mother of Tammy Johnson, Grand Mother to Amy Johnson, and daughter of Jessie Ada McCrary Matthews and Robert Samuel Matthews" They measure 3.75 inches long and have a few small skins to the black and as you can see in the photo there is some nail polish on one of the shoes. I was afraid to try to remove it because I didn't want to damage them. I believe it could be either removed by someone with knowledge or painted over with gloss paint. These would make great shoes for dolls.
