Beautiful Kyo-Satsuma Enameled Antique Ginger Jar

This is a antique circa 1900 Kyo-Satsuma enameled ginger jar. It has lovely Japanese figures and imari type decorations, which are raised and textured by a process called cream paste that is then enameled. This jar is hand painted and has fabulous colors of red, black, grey, blue, white and bright gold gilding. It think it is made out of porcelain, but it may be pottery. It does not have the lid. It measures 4 inches high and 3.5 inches across. The bottom edge has a small chip and rough spot, and the inner top edge has a chip as well, but can't be seen from the outside. It has age glaze crazing throughout. This is a really beautiful little jar.
