Vintage Wicks Werks German Salt Glazed Stein / Pitcher

This is a really cool vintage wicks werks German pottery stein, tankard or pitcher. This was used for beer or ale. It is salt glazed in cobalt blue and grey, gray. It features raised relief decorations of grape leaves, grapes, and a royal person lifting his cup for a toast. It has a banner that says " WIE EURE VATER AUS STEIN DEN WEIN" meaning, Drink the wine like your father out of stone or a stein. This piece measures 6.5 inches tall and 4.5 in diameter. It has no chips, It does have a few manufacturers defect marks, two that look like a cracks, but are glazed over, and still solid. It has a bit of age glaze crazing which is typical of vintage pottery items. This is an nice heavy piece of German pottery.
