Hand painted and thrown jug or pitcher from P.R.Storie Pottery Company of Marshall, Texas. It features an old barn, trees and fence line all in cobalt blue on creamy white pottery.
This piece is stamped on the bottom and signed by the artist. It measures 6.25 inches tall and 4 inches across. About the size of what I would call a milk jug.
It is in very good condition with just a little age glaze crazing. I have seen some of these pieces said to have been made in the 1950s but I don't know the age of this piece for sure. Because of the crazing I expect it is vintage. It has a piece of green felt glued to bottom to keep it from scratching table surfaces. There is a signature but I can't quite make it out. It looks like Kit or Kat or initials.
