Vintage Bakelite and Hand Crochet Doily Hand Bag

This elegant antique purse is hand crocheted and stitched over a light aqua lining. The strap is crocheted as well and then braided. It has what looks like a amber colored bakelite or celluloid frame with little flowers throughout. The crochet looks like it was make for this frame as it is not just a round doily but has a special shaping to fit up into the frame. This piece measures 11 inches from clasp to bottom edge and is 9.5 inches across. It is in very good condition, no tears, no stains and no cracks. This is an auction piece so I'm not sure of the age.
