It is amazing that this set has survived intact, almost, all these years through the ravages of history and the Civil War. The set comprises a finely engraved slice and twelve spoons with fluted bowls, all with spiral stems. There is a fitted box but its not in the best of health these days. It is missing one end but the hinge is and it does shut. All the pieces are in wonderful condition except for a hairline crack about 0.25" long and a couple of dings in the bowl of one spoon.
