The base has large engraved leaves which seem to sprout exotic bulbs and flowers until they meet the plain sterling band around the rim.
In perfect condition, engraving still clear and sharp. No monogram. No cracks, flakes or missing overlay. Marked along the base, faint but clear.

This last partnership ended in 1863 when Hayden was in the Confederate Army and they subsequently set up business separately. This goblet must then date from about 1865 onwards.
