This is one of Gorhams more attractive and sought after patterns, incorporating very tasteful scroll and floral repousse decoration. In excellent condition with no dings, dents, inscriptions or erasures. This is the 3 pint, 990 version dated 1952. Fully hallmarked on the base. Dimensions: 7.5" tall by 8" long. Weight 16.5 Troy oz.

A small sterling meat platter, of fairly plain form but with a few accents that indicate the work of the grand master, Paul Storr. Oval in form with a reeded border highlighted with shell motifs. Fully hallmarked, including his maker' mark and the date letter, B, for the period July 1797 to May 1798. Up to 1973 the Date Letter was changed each year on the 19th May (later 28th May), which was St. Dunstan's day. He is the patron saint of English silversmiths. This is just a phenomenal sterling-mounted desk set, comprising a large inkwell and a paper-weight. They are both made by Edgar Finley & Hugh Taylor of London in 1900, and fully hallmarked accordingly. The inkwell consists of a stag-mounted, foliage-covered sterling lid on a heavy lobed crystal body, of square form.Inside the inkwell there is the original sterling-mounted glass inkpot, also hallmarked. This is a complete set of repousse goblets which does not come on the market very often. This is an old hand decorated set, from the estate of a Maryland family, with marks for 1932-1961. They are in extraordinary condition with fine crisp repousse and a gold wash to the interior. Fully marked under the foot as pictured. I am selling the set as a whole, not individually. Dimensions: 6.75" tall. 3.5" in diameter.

A very rare and impresssive sterling sideboard platter by S. Kirk & Son. The repouuse work is quite unique, most probably custom made. There are the three-flower clusters but they are placed between vignettes of cherubs playing musical instruments. A quality article with above averageweight. Fully marked on the reverse with S. This is a very rare and handsome item. I have only seen one other and that was by Schofield. It is in impeccable condition. The baluster body is topped with a minaret-shaped pierced cap. A large impressive sterling punch bowl with a wide decorative frieze with a grape vine pattern. This pattern is chased, which is a far more laborious process than embossing, and requires a heavier gauge of sterling. Has a 3-letter decorative monogram, FAM. In very good condition. Fabulous tray in enviable condition. Extensively repousse decorated gallery with inlaid mahogany base bearing just a few usage scratches. Fully hallmarked under the base rim: Jacobi & Jenkins, the tower mark, Sterling, 925/1000 Fine, Baltimore. This mark dates the tray at 1894-1908. Jacobi & Jenkins was originally founded in 1879 by A. There is not enough room to picture every aspect of this tray, which in itself is a rare article. There are 8 vignettes, 7 of which illustrate various birds such as Glory the Cardinal and Sammy Jay the Blue Jay in beautiful acid-etched rural settings. The 8th vignette has the child's name "Anna Deere Wiman". In addition there is some amazing acid-etched scroll-work in the corners. In extremely good condition, just one tiny ding, but no erosion of the fine detail in the decoration. ...click for details
