To be honest I am not sure what it is for but it is a beautiful piece of handwrought sterling by Lebolt. It comes in three pieces: the main pot, of '1 Pint' capacity, with ivory insulators, for, I presume, the hot chocolate or coffee; a smaller pot with just a sterling handle, which presumably is for the milk and then, lastly, the lid. Each piece is fully marked with the Lebolt logo, Lebolt, Handbeaten, Sterling, #281, while the main pot has, in addition, 1Pint. 5.25" total height. ...click for details

A very attractive oval dish with a repouuse band of fruit and flowers surrounding an engraved bowl with double-looped handles and supported on four cast silver legs. It is in wonderful condition with all detail in the repousse-work, engraving and casting very clear and sharp. Just a couple of very minor dings. Hallmarked below with S. Kirk & Son and 11oz, which was used around 1880-1890.

Boat-shaped and heavily embossed with a range of flowers and ferns, this gravy boat is rimmed with a band of shells, the hallmark of the English King pattern, introduced in 1885. I have pictured the mark, which shows a capital "A" where the president's initial is usually displayed. I have no explaination for this apart from a Special Order symbol. 8" long, 4.25" high. 14 T.oz.
