An early example from the Baltimore Assay Marks period by S. Kirk, decorated with a band of floral repousse work and applied floral swags to the body. The scroll handle, too, with repousse work and a snake-head terminal. Engraved with a scrolling 3-letter monogram, CCS.
Hallmarked on the base, as pictured with the date letter 'C' for the period 1824-27.
Very good condition apart from a couple of dings to the handle.
Dimensions: Height to handle 7", length from handle to spout 9.5". Weighs 21.5 Troy oz.
