There is not enough room to picture every aspect of this tray, which in itself is a rare article. There are 8 vignettes, 7 of which illustrate various birds such as Glory the Cardinal and Sammy Jay the Blue Jay in beautiful acid-etched rural settings. The 8th vignette has the child's name "Anna Deere Wiman". In addition there is some amazing acid-etched scroll-work in the corners.
In extremely good condition, just one tiny ding, but no erosion of the fine detail in the decoration. Marked on the underside, on the very edge, so that only part of Kerr's axe logo is discernible, together with Sterling and #5619.
Also marked on the underside are the British import marks for when it was imported into Britain.
Dimensions: 15" by 9.5" by 1" high. Weighs 22.5 Troy oz.
