Item #SSO09

A wonderful Irish sterling tea service of elegant form and extensive floral decoration. On each of the 4 corners the repousse shrubs 'sprout' an applied cast flower. Magnificent and imaginative workmanship in a good gauge of silver, look at the weight. There are only 4 pieces as English and Irish tea services usually do not bother with a waste bowl. Made by Richard Sawyer Jr., of Dublin in 1846. Fully hallmarked on the base with an inscribed name "John Marshall". Dimensions: Height of coffee pot 9.5". Total weight 99 Troy oz.
