Sterling Medallion salad servers by J.R.Wendt c.1860.

A wonderful pair of extra-long sterling salad servers made by Wendt for J.E.Caldwell & Co., around about 1860-65. In amazingly well-preserved condition with just a hint of vermeil loss to the underside of the bowls where they would rest. The engraving and detail to the medallions is crisp. No damage or repairs or monos. Fully marked: Patent 925 J.E.Caldwell & Co. Dimensions: 13.25" long. Total weight 9 Troy oz.
