Sterling Arts & Crafts basket, Georg Jensen style.

A fabulous sterling basket with a hammered texture and a carved simulated rope ebony handle. Unfortunately it is unascribed, only marked with Sterling and 925. It is very much in the style of Georg Jensen which leads me to believe that it was made by La Paglia. La Paglia was greatly influenced by the Danish silversmiths designs and I have had a number of hand-crafted items attributed to La Paglia with just the Sterling mark. Excellent condition. Dimensions: 10.5" x 6" x 9.25" to top of handle. Weight 17 troy oz.
