Large George III sterling tray, London 1795

A large round sterling tray with a reeded border on 4 reeded triangular feet, made by John Harris of London in 1795. Elegantly plain with a wonderful crest of a chained bear. In extremely good condition with a good patina. Just a tiny shallow ding and some slight historical surface scratches. Very crisp engraving to the crest. Very clear hallmarks. Dimensions: 14.25" diameter, 1.75" high. Weight 40.5 troy oz.
