OST Ostarbeiter patch. Intended to show that laborers were imported eastern laborers. The freedom of these eastern laborers seems to have varied greatly. I think the majority of these patches were worn by Ukranians brought in to work industry while most of the German male work force was on active duty. Condition is overall excellent with minor signs of age.

Cool Japanese helmet with Rising Sun painted on front. Liner system is gone and some damage to top in the form of three round dents. Some civil defense force units did paint these on and this paint is certainly old. Supposed to have come from Okinawa; A point I have no reason to disbelieve. Great look.

Afrika Korps type tropical field cap. Sometimes termed M43 but actually M41. Condition is well worn with some damage as per images. Any markings are long gone. The tan/orange tropical insignia have been replaced with green. Perhaps the original had to replaced and the the fellow simply had no access to the original color. Any number of circumstances could have caused this and we have all seen strange things. Priced accordingly, though.

Interesting antique firemen's medal dated October 4-5-6 1923. Very nice fireman artwork on the medallion portion. While fire medals are not particularly rare this one is also notable as it has the ribbon and cockade which are normally all long gone. As can be seen in the images the red ribbon has some damage and the MEMBER bar to the top of the ribbon needs a couple of stitches to reattach to the cockade. However, since I am a purist and an advocate of not fixing antiques I will include the smal...

Nice signals officer visor cap with lemon yellow piping. Interior is marked Deutsche Wertarbeit with the maker logo showing an officer wearing visor cap in profile. There are a couple of minor nips and a bit of roughness to the finish of the front visor but all in all a good looking cap priced accordingly.

Nice porcelain candy dish with a portrait of Hindenburg in uniform with medals. The banner reads Gen.-Feldmarschall von Hindenburg over an iron cross. Surrounding is a stand of arms with Prussian flags, rifles, cannon etc. There is a hairline crack across the lid but still a good looking piece for an Imperial display. Bottom is maker marked "ROYAL RUDOLSTADT Prussia" around a brown and B in shield.

Very nice early style NSKK motorcycle crash helmet. Eagle plate has cool yellow patina that only nickel seems to get. Nice piece of insignia. The helmet itself is complete. Leather is strong but could benefit from leather conditioner but there is no hurry on that and I prefer to let the long term owner do such treatment. One side ear cover does show some scuffing. Liner is size 58 and complete/undamaged. Front tongue is maker marked Hans Sch- . Nice, scarce helmet.

Very cool ashtray from the famous Copacabana nightclub. Very historic nightclub was the place to be in its heydays of the 1940's and 1950's. Endless stories with celebrities and mafia connections. Great piece of history. As with all my stuff I don't clean it to make it look pretty, I just leave it like I find it.

Very nice Kriegsmarine coastal artillery overseas cap. The fabric in the back is a different color from the front. I believe this is an interesting example of a lot that was contracted to a French manufacturer. The French, irritated at being an occupied country, made all the caps in the smallest size possible. Since most of the Germans were not twelve year olds the caps had to be resized. Maker marked B.A.W. with a couple of size markings, the latest of which looks to be 58. Overall good, solid ...

It makes me feel old to call 1980's vintage but I think it works with this one which just off the chart on the Richter Scale of coolness. The jacket is typical 80's Levi and the entire thing is covered in superb artwork, patches and pins. Just as proof that our man here was well rounded the right sleeve has a long Metallica patch and the left side of the back has three smaller patches. Everything else is all K.I.S.S. and the hand done portrait work on the back is fabulous (Image 2). There are mu...

Excellent WWII German army sword knot. The leather strap is strong but soft and supple. The acorn ball has the correct green and silver top, Twisted aluminum wire on the bottom and the correct tip with green fabric interwoven by six rows of aluminum wire. All topped off with a very pleasant red-brown leather slide. Really nice knot and the cheap way to make that great sword in your closet looked twice as nice.

Very nice looking King's Crown patch also known as an Imperial Crown or Tudor Crown. I am not well versed with British insignia but this does look WWI to me. Attractive patch constructed very much like bullion insignia but in soft, neutral browns. There is a small nip above the left fleur. The research I put into this indicates this was rank insignia for Warrant Officer in Australia or Squadron Corporal Major, Company Sergeant Major etc in the British Army. Nice patch.

Good looking original SS eagle with strong original silver wash to the front with some rubbing mostly on the top of the wings (Just where we would expect it). The tarnished reverse shows us that it is unfortunately missing one post. It is correctly RZM marked but after the M I can't make out the /number.

Nice cockade for Luftschutz visor cap. Nice, even silver wash to the wreath with very gentle rub wear to the high relief of the oak leaves. Red felt center is complete. This is a lovely little set. A pitcher for iced tea, lemonade or whatever and two matching cups with 5th army crests on each piece. The pitcher is about 9.5 inches tall and the cups are about 4.5 inches tall. A local fellow had enlisted and ended up fighting in Italy. The souvenirs he brought home were this pitcher set and his lovely Italian wife. He passed away a year or so ago and she decided she was also getting old and it was time to part with old memories after many decades of happiness. Si...

Super cool medal given to spectators at the 1912 Air Show in Berlin. Students of history will note 1912 as a very early date when airplanes were hardly thought of in military terms. This was 2 years before WWI and only 9 years after the Wright brothers first flight. I think that anything flight related before WWI is supremely interesting. Very cool medal.

Very cool steel army buckle with leather tab. This one has a lot of the field grey paint remaining but enough worn to give it a great combat look. What is also cool is that the buckle and tab are perfect matches with the buckle being marked N&H 1942 and the tab marked NOELLE & HUECK LUDENSCHEID 1942. The leather is in great shape as well as per photos.

Große Reichsausstellung Schaffendes Volk 1937 Düsseldorf Schlageterstadt. This famous exhibition was to celebrate the Reich's Exhibition for a Productive People. Quite similar to the Berlin Olympics, this exhibition was designed to showcase to the world the modernized lives of the German people. Nice example of an uncommon tinnie.

On February 24 1934 over a million party members swore an oath of allegiance to Hitler. Poor judgement for sure but at the time they were so proud they made tinnies. I have two others for this event that are large, heavy pieces. This is a smaller standard tinnie size but with the same motif of the hand raised with the 4th and 5th fingers down. Gauparteitag Wurttemberg Hihenzollern Stuttgart. Uncommon tinnie.

Very nice BDM tinnie for the 1937 Sport Tag. This one is for the district Obergau Wurttemberg. Front shows a nice even bronze colored finish (No, not a bronze tinnie). The reverse does show a stain, but it is on the reverse. Pin works fine. Nice tinnie.
