Interesting Flag Signal Instructor. Sliding dial shows different flag configurations for different letters in US Army and Navy semaphore code. Patent information from Great Britain and United States are on the sides but the US side does have some small flaking (See photo). The reverse shows International Morse code with one flag or lantern with some further instructions on semaphore code on the bottom. Communications have become increasingly important with armies and methods of communication are...

Very cool and extremely rare yearbook for the First Torpedo Boat Flotilla. The Wiemar navy at this time was very small and Germany was still heavily restricted in the size of its navy by the Versailles treaty. As many navies have figured out, it was quickly seen that with smaller torpedo boats it was possible to pack a lot of offensive punch into a small craft. This is a similar theory to the American PT boats. A rare enough item that I was only able to find even one other example for sale in Ge...

P.N.F. was Partito Nazionale Fascista, Mussolini's Fascist political party which lasted until 1943. Condition is perfect with nice, bright metal and undamaged enamel work. Maker marked A. PAGANI MILANO and the button clip has this name and the address. Great example.

ONB leader rank insignia. Very nice bullion construction. The ONB was a Fascist youth organization for Italian youth and was similar in theory and practice to the Hitler Youth. High quality patch measures about 5.7x8.3cm.

German postmark stamper in excellent condition. This number 219859 was used by three different Kolonne 64th Regiments. The first was Infantrie-Regiment 64 which was "gestricken". The Schutzen-Regiment 64 and then Panzergrenadier-Regiment 64 which was also "gestricken" but this time in Stalingrad. No actual translation is necessary for "gestricken". Perhaps there was something unlucky about this particular stamper? It was then given three different SS artillery assignments. This list with a copy ...

This is a very interesting set of six cigarette holders. They are in the original sealed wax paper envelope but seem to be thick paper or cardboard. Each has patriotic motifs including a battleships, flag stand, airplane, portraits etc. Packaging has a good looking iron cross in a laurel wreath and the humble price of 10 pfennig. I have never seen this before nor could I find any other examples online so figure this was a cheap type of item that nobody bothered to save. Great piece.

Partial cap tally for the German Norddeutscher Lloyd shipping line. This is a pre-war example. While it is a partial and only about 24cm long it is priced low and is a great reference piece to show how the stitching was done. The flag is the shipping line logo and is really nicely embroidered. Very cheap way to get a nice back piece for a nautical related display.

Very nice Reichskriegerbund member visor cap. The NS-RKB was the Third Reich manifestation of the veterans organizations originally formed for veterans of the 1870 war. The intent was to have a support and social group dedicated to helping veterans. A noble thought that most countries with combat veterans also employ. However, in post WWI Germany the veteran groups had real political clout and were often the pre-organized muscle behind various political movements. This cap has the 1938 version o...

This postcard is from a series released in 1941 featuring many different badges and awards. Really a great series with artwork just begging to be used for displaying a good armored assault badge. Shows a nice portrait of panzerman in early beret with a tank in action behind and the assault badge lower right. Unused so reverse is blank. If you are feeling extravagant you could even use this to surprise a friend with a fun piece of mail.

Very interesting SA postcard with cool cover art and nice cancelled stamps. Most interestingly this was sent to a fellow in New York. The card is in English and is generally about stamp and postcard collecting strategies. However, at the end Johanna tells Frank she will be home in a few week and that "I have to tell you a lot". Of course we wonder if this has to do with scary things that are becoming very obvious by the latter half of 1938 but we assume it is something that would not pass censor...

Visually stunning bronze table medal depicting Victory, wielding a sword and with hair flowing behind, riding a tank over barbed wire and trenches. Beautiful, solid piece measuring just under 7cm in diameter. Signed A. Morlon. Edge is stamped "BRONZE" and with a tiny cornucopia which I believe represents the Paris mint. Reverse depicts a shield over extensive laurel leaves. One side represents attack and the other defense. Really very powerful imagery.

Very nice map produced in 1944 by the U.S. Army Map Service. Taihoku, West SW, Formosa. "Prepared under the direction of the Chief of Engineers...". Top reads "For use by War and navy Department Agencies only. Not for sale or distribution". I am assuming the statute of limitations is up on this. Condition is great but there are obviously fold creases. Otherwise nice and clean.

Reproduction British memorial plaque (Or death plaque). Being offered as educational example. Nice, heavy piece a little over 8cm in diameter. These were given to next of kin of soldiers killed in WWI and would normally have the soldier's name in the blank rectangle.

Very hard to find fallschirm prusschein. Basically this is a log book to record who packed a particular parachute. With the information recorded the packer is more likely to do a better job since a chute not opening correctly would give the packer a one way ticket to the eastern front. Printed on blue oilcloth to make it strong and weatherproof. The cover has the specific information on the parachute and the unit. The inside pages give spaces for the packer to stamp their ID and add pertinent in...

This listing is offerred with all due respect for our veterans; Especially those called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Very nice POW bracelet in memory of CDR CARROLL CRAIN 3-8-67. This is the more desirable type made by VIVA. This bracelet is in its original plastic wrap with original paper. Due to age the plastic does have a few wear holes in it but the bracelet is perfect. Cdr Carroll Owen Crain JR USN was part of Heavy Attack Squadron 4 working off of the carrier USS ...

Very nice 1939 iron cross stickpin. Good looking cross appears to be brass with nicely painted black center and has a nice three dimensional shape. On original LDO card which is in good shape with some light age wear. Nice little set.

Very nice tunic removed Schutzpolizei sleeve eagle. This is the lighter colored example of two similar patches I am listing. Some stitching still present along the border from when it was on a uniform tunic. Patches that had clearly been used, of course, are always a little more interesting then the "unissued". Nice example.

Excellent Werkfeuerwehr sleeve eagle. This was the industrial fire brigades. As American bombing successfully focused on German manufacturing these fire police in particular were very busy and had an extremely important job if production of military goods was to continue. Very cool patch.

This is a 1944 dated map from the U.S. Army map service. The area is Fountainebleau which is a bit southeast of Paris. The interesting point is that it looks like it was combat used. There are a few different infantry and armored units penciled in. In the northeast corner of the map there is an armored unit with an arrow indicating the line of advance but a ? mark indicating they weren't sure of the unit's identity when the situation was being reviewed. An interesting little snapshot in a likely...

This is an interesting button hole pin reading "zur erinnerung an 1870" and a Maltese or Iron Cross in the center. I have actually seen a lot of fake enamel examples of this pin but didn't know there really was such a thing. This war was a rather quick French thumping. This is a painted example and I have included obverse photos both with and without flash to show the most detail possible. Cool item very reminiscent of later Third Reich membership pins.

Neat stickpin with a bubble containing real, natural gold flakes. Probably not enough there to retire on but it is a good conversation piece for sure. I do not believe the pin outside of the bubble is gold.

Very nice set. Nice size two gas mask with lens dated 1939 in great shape with healthy rubber. Cannister is likewise in great shape with three lenses in that compartment. Canister also has an apparently full set of straps including shoulder strap and the belt support hook which is rarely found. Filter has the name Mullner which is different the the name on the mask strap which is illegible due to blotted ink. The last three photos show the cape pouch with late war paper cap LBA marked for Luftwa...

Very nice example of the 1914-1915 Great War medal. Japan's involvement in WWI was minimal, amounting to taking an island colony from Germany, so this is a not too common medal. Nice example in perfect shape except for pinhole in the ribbon that looks to have been caused by the rear attachment end rubbing the back of the ribbon. Really a nice looking medal. The recipient's name is on the rear of the box. We believe the family name is Hirokawa but can't make out the rest. Very nice medal.

Very nice early 1847 pattern Prussian Belt and buckle. This pattern was used through 1895. Attached sixth image shows the reverse with solder points. The buckle is quite attached to the leather so I decided not to remove it for photos. Rare to find with the proper leather belt. There is one scrunched edge on the leather as well as a small square from an old price sticker. Very nice, early belt.

Very interesting WWII Ostland Eisen revenue trade chits. These were used in Germany as well as eastern occupied areas such as Russia, Poland, Western Ukraine and were used as an exchange chit for trading agricultural goods for steel or iron. I do not know the particular details but that is the gist. There a couple of different watermarks and one that was glued on something along the way. They look to be very nonchalantly cut but the basic size is 4x6cm. Very cool looking and interesting pieces.

Very nice RAD belt buckle with leather tab. The front of this aluminum buckle is superb with high relief and virtually no wear. The reverse is nicelt marked with the Assmann A on one side of the shovel and 37 on the other side. The leather tab is correctly marked F.W. ASSMANN & SOHNE LUDENSCHEID and dated 1937. The tab does show some age wear but is in generally nice condition with no real damage and nice clear maker mark. Very nice buckle.

Nice pair of black widow Luger grips. Unfortunately someone along the way found the need to carve a "W" on one side. The other side has one small hit (See next to last photo). This is a shame because otherwise these grips are in great shape with no cracking or warping and nice, unworn checking. I hope "W" feels bad for what he did.

Cool tinnie marking 10 years of struggle in Gau Baden. Bavarian Police Sword Blade Engraving. Near perfect condition with nice chocolate bronze finish. Reverse shows original pin. This pin has a little bend in it. While this works fine it could be easily straightened out but I don't do anything that isn't necessary to my items. Nice tinnie.

Great looking shoulder board for German Lieutenant General. Very rich gold and silver Russial braid with red backing. One third from the top is a large single pip (About 23mm wide) indicating the rank above General Major. The pip shows gentle age wear and the red backing has one tiny moth nip about 1x2mm (See last image). This is very tiny and does almost nothing in detracting from this great looking shoulder board. If only it could talk. Nice item.
