1932 dated signed postcard of Beniamino Gigli. Gigli was an Italian opera singer who many consider to be one of the very finest tenors in the recorded history of music. Good sized signature is on bottom part of the photograph. This is from the estate of Edward A. Schaeffer, a family friend who passed away a few years ago. Documented souvenier from Charles A. Lindbergh's famous solo Transatlantic flight. He is noted as saying that there was a fly in his cabin that kept him company and kept him awake. When he arrived in France's Le Bourget field on May 20, 1927, he captured the fly and had a Parisian craftsman bronze it as a personal souvenier.
