Japanese Rising Sun medal. This medal is WWII vintage but I don't know what this ribbon is. I bought this off a nurse whose dad was a veteran and had this stashed away. I have no idea why anyone would put this medal on this ribbon but we do see all kinds of such things in this business. rices Cheap.

Nice, honest police NCO sword. Nice to see the SS proofs on both the handle and scabbard throat (See photos). No chips to the handle and police eagle inset is a really nice example. Nickel handle fittings are very nice with gentle signs of age and no rust. Original washer is in place. On the blade I find no nicks and the tip is perfectly shaped. This is about as good as a collector can hope for in a second class Iron Cross.Beautiful uncleaned look with no damage. Magnetic center core has a perfect halo along the silver border. The ribbon was neatly sewn shuy at the top all those years ago and is perfect with a gentle toning to the white field. The ring is marked GU800. Very nice unit engraved Mecklenberg horse artillery sword. 60th Field Artillery Regiment. The WKC maker logo is under the langet but hard to photograph. Some light spotting to the blade but nothing significant and will improve with the application of a little oil. Some gold leaf remains to the engraved paneling. Just a lovely example of a classic decoration, this is the best iron cross I have had in a long time. The front has a great look with that gentle halo around the core that we like to see along the silver border. On the reverse the pin and catch are in great shape and the silver has a beautiful, even patina throughout.
